TQ for coming in to this blog. As we all know, kitorg (JS) joined MPOC 09 2nd Leg pada 7th & 8th March. Macam team2 lain,harapan adalah tinggi. Bukan harapan untuk menang jer, tapi harapan untuk tgk liga paintball Malaysia ni makin berkembang maju. Dari segi marshalling, organizer and all. Tapi, harapan tinggal harapan. Igauan buruk kitorg before join event nie menjadi kenyataan. Tanda2 event nie menuju ke jalan yg sesat dah ada. D4 team ada 8 jer compare dgn 13 team from the 1st leg! WTH?? Liga sebelah sane makin bertambah2, liga MPOC makin merudum?? Orite semua, malas nak crite panjang. Ikuti kisah pahit JS ketika 2 hari di MPOC.
1st day, 1st game preliminary round. Bad things dah terjadi. One of the opponent player dah kena clear shot. Kitorg ask marshall for paint-check. Marshall cam biasa duk diam sambil dgr Ipooood~ Player tue siap boleh shot 2 player kitorg,baru marshall kiri ckp out. Padahal, marshall belah kanan ckp, dia mmg dah out sblm dia shot player kitorg. tp marshall belah kiri yg ada dekat dgn player tue, ckp x out. sbb dia tgk dari blakang. (AKu tembak dpn dia,ko g check blakang,sengal ke ape ko nie!) COmplain kt head ref lepas match, alasan dia bg, marshall saye dah check bla..bla..bla..Whatever!
still dlm prelims round lg. Dalam satu game lain, benda yg same jadi. Player kat snake, aku dah tembak. SUruh marshall paintcheck, marshall check blakang player tue. Dan dengan selamber nye player kat snake tue shot player2 kitorg. (Best eyh marshall dgr iPooood mase game-on.)
On the 2nd day, lagi malas gua nk story. Sebelum game lg, kitorg dah nmpk masalah yg dtg. Semua 4 team D4 takder meja!! Tambah dgn keadaan padang yg dah cam sawah padi, mane kitorg nak duduk?? Nak biar kitorg duk atas lumpur?? APe kes?? Hine sgt ke team2 D4 nie??? Lu pikirr laa sendiri...1st game semi-final. mcm biasa, masalah2 dgn marshall mase 1st day terjadi. aku complain kt satu marshall nie, tibe2 dtg satu marshall menyampuk, "Korg tak tau rules ke!" WOWWW!!! Manis sungguh ayat yg kluar dari mulut kau tu yer! Gua cam muke lu beb! Aku mintak explain dari kwn lu, yg lu sibuk2 menyalak tue ape hal! AKu rasa, marshall perlu terangkan apa2 yg player tak clear pasal rules. Kalau kitorg nak hafal smua rules, baik laa kitorg jadi Marshall je beb!
Lagi sekali bad things happened mase 3rd/4th place. Kali nie, kesabaran kitorg dah smpi ke tahap maksimum. Player kitorg kena shot, tp palet x pecah. Marshall dtg, ckp out. Tnye dia, kat mane kena hit, dia ckp out. Tnye lg skali, dia ckp out. (X paham soalan kut, ke tgh dgr iPooood.) Kitorg complain after match. Head marshall ckp, marshall x der hak nak bgtau player kt mane hit. Tapi masalah nye, takder satu pn kesan palet pecah or even splash! Kitorg dah panas. Head marshall bleh plak ckp, "Korg balik bace buku rules!" WOWWW kali ke-2! Tadi anak buah kau,skarang kau plak ckp macam tue! Ape lg, gunung berapi pn meletus...And kitorg walk-over from 3rd/4th place. Bagi team Mud Legion menang 3rd. Kitorg dah tak sanggup lg nk hadap marshall2 tue~

Boleh bawak e-loader, tank & barrel sendiri~ Eerrrr, not fine! Kenape??? Aku rasa, lebih kpd disadvantage. Byk perkara terjadi disebabkan rules utk benarkan player bawak accessories (e-loader, tank, barrel) marker sendiri.
Kalau team yg tgh main, almost smua pakai their own e-loader, barrel & tank, team yg akan masuk field for the next game, kena tunggu lame utk player2 tue tukar blk accessories tue. Bile kejap tukar house accessories, kejap tukar sendiri punye accessories, mule laa jadi macam2 masalah kat marker tue. Dah laa lame tunggu nk amik marker, dpt marker, x cukup mase nk test sbb marshall dah "socks-off"! Aku tak salah kan player2 yg pakai accessories diorg tue (org yg mampu boleh laa bawak sendiri nye accessories). Tapi aku questions kat decision organizers utk benarkan benda nie terjadi. Baik laa bg bawak marker sendiri jer. Tak susahkan player2 lain yg tak terlibat. Nie, utk player yg pakai house marker, dah laa x mampu nk beli marker & accessories tue sendiri, kena plak tanggung akibat player2 yg nk gune accessories diorg sendiri. Kecewa gak laa...1st day, technical team takder kat technical tent. Player dah kelam kabut pasal marker. Marshall macam biasa, mmg x jage marker. Marker yg available pun, byk yg rosak. Mase 1st Leg, problem marker nie sgt kurang. Tapi, bile decision utk benarkan bawak accessories marker sendiri nie, macam2 dah jadi.
So, kitorg harap, organizers buat laa round-table discussion blk. Decides what's best for paintball as a whole, and not for your own benefits. Even though tak byk team complain, jgn igt masalah tue kecik. Once these small problem korg ignored, one day it will become a major problem and at that time, korg kecewa pun dah tak gune...

1) Capt meeting yg agak blur.. jadual utk game tak dpt on time.
2) Susunan game pun agak serabut.. D4 8 team, main 10 games, kenape beb? Penat la beb nak main beb.. Pallet mahal beb..
3) Mech.Marker yang di sediakan utk D4 tak cukup la beb. Rules:- kene pakai m-marker yang disediakan tapi bole pakai e-loader+tank+barrel sendiri tu agak menyusahkan, bukan agak lagi beb, MMG MENYUSAHKAN.. M-marker disediakan 17, satu game pakai 10 marker, kalau team tu nak tukar2 loader,tank, game yang seterusnya confirm delay beb.. marker rosak lagi, marker tenggelam dlm sawah padi lagi.. dah lambat masuk, reff kasi penalti lagi beb.. cane tu beb, sape yg salah skrg ni beb???? lol kesian2
4) Reff: mostly org kata mmg la reff dh penat tu buat keputusan kdg2 silap, player tak penat ke oi? aku lagi penat dok menunggu game dari kol 1 sampai 5 beb.. kalau ref nak emosi, baik tak payah jadi ref ler, tnya bebaik nak hangin, ingat player nak korek idung je ke beb..
Kesimpulan: - babai MPOC
Normal lah tu... MPOC juz not as organized as My-NPL... MPOC juz wanna make money not that into promoting the game...

ayat ni kenkadang memang keluar, but for me, it would depends on who said it, setengah marshal memang suka guna ayat ni when they don't even know what they're talking abt, but some do... i'd challenge them back to show me as i used to carry a copy of the rule book with me during a tourney...
yg first tu aku tak tau siapa yg suruh korang baca rules, but the 2nd time it was abu, the head ref, & i believe he knows what he's talking abt coz we used to open up rulebook & 'discuss' things. abu is the same batch of those senior refs in mpro now. he chose to stay when most of them walked out of MM few years back. donno why but maybe trying to rectify things from the inside kot...
ok.. well, he did admit that he shouldn't have said that phrase, but explain... anyway, bab marshall kena tunjuk tang mana hit tu memang takde sebut dalam rulebook. at least he got that part right.. (not defending him, just saying things as it is...)
on paint-check, marshal kena datang kalau mintak dia check diri kita, but it's his proagative to check the other side bila kita request. the reason is some players use that 'trick' to distract the refs or just to confirm bunker tu ada player ke tidak... not saying u guys did this here, just terangkan that it's one of the common trick.
being in the scene lama doesn't really means u r good, tapi maybe sbb dah tak cukup org, kena ambik jugak.. but not all marshall yg hampeh... nasib nasib je la yg jaga side kita tu terkena yg jenis tu... been in that situation too b4... :-/
marshal with ipod on..??! will check on this... tak kira la ipod tu on ke tidak but it's not a good impression lah... they should've known better...

bro badman, TQVM for your comments. appreciate that. i've had enough to discuss bout those marshalls. even though u said that bro Abu is one of the senior ref, but the way he talked to us, it didnt shows that he's "senior". Sorry to say, but we, D4 teams, still need some respect. Yes we are a small bunch of players. But, no one starts with a professional tag. everybody has to start from bottom. Enuff is enuff.
Bout the ipod thingy, it's my assumption (or maybe its true, who knows). why i said they were listening to ipod during game-on? because whenever we asked them or request them to paint-check or whatsoever, they seems to ignore it or replied it with a totally different answers that has no relations to our questions/requests. we understand that they (marshalls) are tired. but, didnt we tired too??
i did admit that there's some (yes,only SOME!) of the marshalls are really good, helpful. They understand that we are D4 which really needs more understanding about paintball. they really wants to help our paintball industry. but those marshall who gave us the nonsense comment, they are the one that will destroy the paintball industry.

wow..merajuk sungguh korang yek. well i do agree on some of the points here. i think sepatutnya la the ref show a bit courtesy la to show where is the hit even though it's not mention in the rule book. payahla kalau mcm 2. manala tau ada ref yang tak beretika tk bribe ke (assumption only ye)he just take out a player because he can and doesn't comply by any rule 2 at least show where the hit is that he saw before he call out for the player. a bit weirdla but my guess is he probably had made a bad call but just don't want 2 admit it la. and no matter what, i think it is very rude to say things like that la.. come onla. semua orang penat. huhuhu..2 say mpoc making profit 2, payah nak cakap. huhu..but agak pathetic la preparation diorang 4 d 2nd leg nih. mcm mana meja 4 d4 leh x ada? pas 2 bila plak diluluskan usul semua team kena pakai housemarker? kalau mcm 2 nape plak hadiah nak kasi mechmarker kalau x leh guna marker sendiri dalam mpoc? banggang ka apo..huhuhu

Not to say merajuk. Tapi lebih kpd frustration. 1st Leg, ok. So, everybody expected the 2nd Leg would be better than ok. Tapi, lain pulak jadi nye. Problem2 yg terjadi utk 2 hari tue cukup utk kitorg buat final decision. kate kan laa problem yg jadi during 1st day tue, tak jadi on the 2nd day and it's improve a lot. For sure we'll giving another chance to MPOC during the 3rd leg. But, aku rase, enuff is enuff. Tue jer... =)
hu hu hu tumpang sedih baca cerpen korang. aku yg tak main pun buleh rasa keperitan. aku datang pun hari ahad nampak laa korang baru nak masuk tech tent itu pun aku tgk jam dah dekat kol 530. apa cer? nak habis lepas maghrib? paling terkejut dari segi jumlah tent, 1st leg ok la cantek banyak, masuk 2nd ni aku terkejut, kemah orang bersunat pun lagi banyak. tang pitch tu tak yah citer la itu sebab utama tak mo main mpoc nih. kalau aku punya washing machine buleh cakap merayu punya laa dia kat aku jgn guna dia utk basuh seluar lepas main kat mpoc. bukan niat aku nak bias tapi takde healthy competition la, macam mana nak maju paintball kat malaysia nih. anyway jumpa kat npl lagi la nanti.
1st day aku yang cool kan budak2.. 2nd day aku plak yg takleh cool lol.. cam ciken.. ni smua dunia beb, ape yang penting kite shisha lu beb, kasi tenang beb.
ape lagi. bako la forum mpoc. pakat ramai2 dengan budak d4 len. hehehe..

yeap, this can consider as one of the worst mpoc so far... dedulu (06) ada pernah jugak main malam, but delay sebab ada ribut... then wca yg kat pj tu pun ada gak delay sikit, still ok sbb situ ada lampu... but this time... hmm.. ntah lah, team tak banyak mana.. even masa recent WCA siap power down 2 jam lebih, elok je game jalan lepas tu... aku pun tak tau la camana boleh jadi gini..
benda macam ni semua boleh kira memalukan since mpoc is the oldest running league in the country.. nasib baik aku tak main kali ni, kalau tak lagi lantang la berbunyi...
IMO, u guys should make this known to the higher authority of the organising committee, bukan nak suruh diaorang rayu korang datang main balik, but just to make them realise their mistake. at the same time jgn lupa admit kalau memang ada yg korang buat salah, kalau takde no hal lah.. takat 'cakap kedai kopi' gini tak kemana pun..
korang dah lama main sesama, keep the teamwork going... golf mana ada teamwork gini rupa.. :-p
bro badman, yes we're gonna make the official report to MPOC or whoever responsible to this. This is not to say that we're big head, but to make them realise that there's something need to be fixed even though they are the oldest league in this country. Oldest doesn't mean established when they don't learn from their old mistake.
yes bro, mane2 salah kitorg, mmg kitorg akan admit and we won't complain bout that. Those thing yg kitorg story was the one that really need some explanation and improvement from them. Anyhow, we've been getting lots of encouraging and supportive msg/comments.

voicing out honest opinions on things memang bagus, tapi kadang tu (in my case most of the time) boleh backfire.. i got my share of it, from both leagues.. tapi tak kisah lah tu, udah nama pun 'org jahat'... hehehe.. ;-)
personally, aku pun pelik why change the house marker ruling. i was actually surprise when one of the mud trekker guys told me organiser said A5 dia takleh guna. if not mistaken, mpoc1 hari tu, can use own equipments & players are not to change any part of the house marker setup. this was decided by the big taikor (paul) last time so the game goes on smoothly. during the capt's meeting dia still dalam perjalanan balik from iran & then takde during game due to health reason. i'm yet to get his opinion on these matters.
elok la tu kalau nak buat official complain. at least nampak jugak la serious benda tu rather than sembang ngumpat kedai kopi... as u guys said, niat bukan nak kondem sampai jahanam tapi nak bagi realise the mistakes so it won't be repeated in the future.
IMO, they need to do something abt it as this is one of the factor that numbers of participation declining.. kena tgk rumah sendiri dulu b4 jenguk tingkap org...
eh, maybe bebila senang nanti kita main tembak tembak sesama..don't care la marker apa, asalkan boleh tembak & kena..

1st - Part bounced ball tapi u dah kena tarik kuar. <--- dia dah tau bad call dah...tapi dah tak tau nak buat apa, dia dah panggil out, terpaksa la u ikut...coz all calls are final. Tak bole dah tarik balik. =(
2nd - Marshal sibuk dengar Ipod. Ni mmg patut kena complain la..coz nampak tak professional. jgn bilang kamu, saya pun panas oo mcm tuh...uhuhuhuh~
3rd - kena suruh baca rulebook...ayat ni sa sendiri tak guna..coz it's just a line to get away with something. again, sorry you guys had to put up with this.

Marshall macam biasa, mmg x jage marker." <--- organisers yg patut sedia tent tu...sebab D4 is using M-marker, so ni kerja tech crew la ni...Marshal mmg jaga dalam field & the chrono station if necessary..kalau tech pun marshal buat..parah la geng... =)
5th - paint check - marshal akan check kalau kita request on ourselves. But they are not obliged to do so when you request to check for others. I got this local tourney in my place where a team abused this paintcheck term to distract ref's attention towards them. Sampai bosan geng..sakit jiwa wor..pas tu marah lagi kat kitaorang balik and complain to me after the game cakap kitaorang bias lah, tak tau buat kerja la...etc etc; padahal orang yg dia suru p check tu terang2 clean..3 marshal lagi p tengok. UHuhuhuhuh~~ =/
I am not backing up the marshals or whoever since I am just a small paintball operator in my place, at the same time a marshal and also we organised small tourneys in our place from time to time, so I take your writing is a point for me to take note to prevent from happen in my place. Thank you for voicing out.
Anyway, hope this won't stop you guys from playing paintball. Tak kisah la main league mana pun, without you guys, there will be no paintball tournaments!
